According to a report by Sahara Reporters, Kwamba Primary Health Centre (PHC) in Suleja Local Government Area of Niger State is operating in poor conditions, with patients reportedly being treated on worn-out and torn mattresses.
The report highlighted the contrast between the substantial allocation received by the state and the condition of the healthcare facility, where basic infrastructure and equipment are reportedly inadequate.
Kwamba PHC serves residents of the community and surrounding areas, making the reported state of the facility a concern for patients who rely on public healthcare services.
The situation has also renewed questions about the management and utilisation of public funds, particularly resources expected to support essential services such as healthcare at the grassroots.
