Yari Named Director-General as Uzodimma Takes Secretary Role; Shettima to Serve as Vice Chairman
President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has constituted the All Progressives Congress (APC) Presidential Campaign Council ahead of the 2027 general elections, bringing together senior party leaders and key government officials to coordinate the party’s campaign and mobilisation efforts.
Under the new arrangement, President Tinubu will serve as Chairman of the council, while Vice President Kashim Shettima will serve as Vice Chairman.
Former Zamfara State Governor and serving Senator, Abdulaziz Yari, has been appointed Director-General, while Imo State Governor, Hope Uzodimma, will serve as Secretary.
The council also comprises several senior APC leaders, elected officials and political stakeholders who are expected to oversee various directorates and play key roles in the party’s preparations for the elections.
President Tinubu charged members of the council to remain committed to the party’s electoral objectives and work diligently towards securing victory for the APC.




He also urged the campaign team to effectively communicate the achievements of his administration to Nigerians, strengthen engagement with citizens and intensify grassroots mobilisation ahead of the elections.
