Osun Governor Calls for Political Reconciliation, Urges Stakeholders to Put Election Differences Aside
Osun State Governor, Ademola Adeleke, has commended President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for what he described as his role in ensuring a peaceful atmosphere during the 2026 Osun State governorship election.
Adeleke, who spoke following his victory at the polls, expressed appreciation to President Tinubu and other stakeholders for their commitment to a peaceful electoral process.
The governor also called on all political actors, supporters and residents of Osun State to put the outcome of the election behind them and unite for the development of the state.
He urged his opponents and their supporters to accept the result in the spirit of democracy, stressing that the election should not become a source of division among the people.
Adeleke further pledged to use his renewed mandate to accelerate development across Osun State, with emphasis on economic growth, industrialisation, job creation and improved infrastructure.
He called for collective efforts to move the state forward, maintaining that the task of governance requires the participation and support of all stakeholders regardless of political affiliation.
The governor’s call for unity comes as attention shifts from the election campaign to governance and the implementation of policies aimed at improving the lives of residents across Osun State.
