The former Senate Minority Leader met with community leaders and residents, pledging to engage relevant authorities as concerns grow over demolitions in Paipe and looming threats in Durumi 3
Former Senate Minority Leader, Senator Philip Aduda, has met with stakeholders and residents of Paipe and Durumi 3 communities in the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) over concerns arising from ongoing and proposed demolition activities affecting the areas.
The meeting comes after parts of Paipe Community were recently affected by demolition exercises, while residents of Durumi 3 continue to express fears over potential demolition threats to their homes and businesses.


Speaking during the engagement, Aduda assured residents that he would intervene by engaging relevant authorities and key stakeholders to seek a lasting and peaceful resolution to the issues.
He acknowledged the concerns of the affected communities and emphasized the need to protect the welfare, livelihoods, and rights of residents while pursuing solutions that serve the interests of justice.



The meeting also provided an opportunity for community leaders and residents to present their grievances and outline the challenges they have faced as a result of the demolition activities and threats.
