Family members of former Power Minister and Oyo APC governorship aspirant abducted by unknown gunmen in Challenge area of Ibadan.
The sister and twin children of former Minister of Power and All Progressives Congress (APC) governorship aspirant in Oyo State, Bayo Adelabu, have been kidnapped by unknown gunmen in Ibadan, the Oyo State capital.
According to reports, the victims were abducted on Wednesday morning in the Elewura area of Challenge, Ibadan, raising concerns among residents and political associates of the former minister.
Confirming the incident, Adelabu’s media aide, Femi Awogboro, said the former minister’s younger sister and her twin children, identified as Peter and Paul, were taken by the kidnappers.
“Adelabu’s younger sister, together with her twins (Peter and Paul), were kidnapped this morning by unknown gunmen at Elewura, Challenge, Ibadan,” Awogboro stated.
As of the time of filing this report, details surrounding the abduction remain unclear, while security agencies are yet to issue an official statement on the incident.
